My name is Jaime and I began reading Brandon Sanderson wayyyy back in 2013. I quickly became hooked and am now undergoing the grand task of rereading all of the Cosmere in order to catch all of the easter eggs that I missed out on during my first couple of read throughs. I created this group to connect with similar Cosmere fanatics and gain more insight into the universe!

Alexa | 64 comments Hi! My name is Lexi! I am currently making my way into the Cosmere and loving it!! I have read the first two books of Stormlight, and am currently reading Tress. I have Yumi on the way and hope to dive into mistborn this year as well. I love his diverse writing style and can’t wait to talk about it!!

message 3: by Cole (new)

Cole Kriederman | 10 comments Hello! My name is Cole and I am still pretty fresh to the Cosmere, but am in love with what I have read so far. I started with the first Mistborn book and am now almost halfway through Tress which I adore so far. Excited to continue the Mistborn series soon and eventually dive into the Stormlight Archives!

message 4: by Alexa (new)

Alexa | 64 comments What do you think of Tress so far? I finished it last night and I adored it. The ending was beautiful. I have Yumi arriving tomorrow and I’m so excited to start it now

message 5: by Cole (new)

Cole Kriederman | 10 comments I love it! The humor is great and I love all the characters. Some of the interactions between Huck and Tress make me laugh out loud. I am excited to see where it goes! I also have Yumi waiting to be read, as well as Frugal Wizard's Handbook. Got them all as a Christmas gift but I still need to finish the Mistborn series as well and get into Stormlight. So much to read but I can't wait!

With so many books in the cosmere it can feel super daunting!! I have yet to read tress but I’m excited to start… would you recommend tress as a good starting point for Sanderson books for those who haven’t read any of his books yet? It seems different and more approachable than some of his other series so I was debating recommending it to one of my friends who isn’t as familiar with epic fantasy

message 7: by SAH.Bookmom (new)

SAH.Bookmom | 35 comments Hello, my name is Jacklyn 😊
I got the Mistborn trilogy for Christmas this past December and I finished the first book in a week! I couldn’t put it down!

I’m super excited to go through the whole Cosmere in a chronological order (as much as possible).

I just recently learned about Brandon Sanderson’s books and am looking forward to finding the Easter eggs as I go.

message 8: by Cole (new)

Cole Kriederman | 10 comments Jaime- I think Tress is definitely a great starting point with it being a standalone. With it being part of the cosmere, I’ve seen people recommend reading towards the end of the cosmere books so that people get all the references, but me being so new anyways, I think it’s still a super enjoyable book no doubt,

message 9: by Marwan (new)

Marwan | 133 comments Hello everyone!
my name is Marwan, but nobody will call me that because it's too hard(even in my own language :) so I'm Maro to everyone.
I started reading Mistborn around March of last year and I instantly loved it, little did I know that I would spiral down the Sanderson lane and read the entire Cosmere, with only the Sunlit man left for me.
One of the best things in life is to enjoy a good conversation about books you love and as I'm fairly certain that no one I know will read the Cosmere (I have reader friends, they just won't read English duh) I'm joining this group to talk about a book series that deserves talking about!
Love you all❤

message 10: by Conor (new)

Conor Lanigan | 3 comments Hey everyone,

My names Conor and I started reading the Cosmere with Final Empire midway through 2023 and have been hooked since.

I've read Mistborn Era 1, The Eleventh Metal, Warbreaker, Elantris, Hope of Elantris and The Emperors Soul (in that order) and I'm currently reading through White Sand Graphic novel.

I have the Stormlight Archive set arriving 16th January so my plan this year is to get caught up with everything by the time SA5 is released in December.

Happy to come across this group as I'm excited to share my thoughts with people on the same reading journey.

Peter Costea | 8 comments Howdy Y'all,

My name is Peter. I got into the stormlight archive because when I was traveling overseas in 2016 I got a free audible subscription for a month. I wanted the biggest bang for my (Free) buck and saw that the way of kings was ~46 hours of audio so figured that was the best value. I knew nothing of the series but was instantly hooked. I binged all the audio books for stormlight and have slowly been reading my way through the rest of the cosmere since 2022.

I'm currently doing my first reread of the Stormlight archive (physical editions this time) to make it to the December release date. With the main series plus "Yumi" and "The Sunlit Man" I have to read 18 pages of Cosmere a day. I'm already 15 days ahead.

message 12: by Marwan (new)

Marwan | 133 comments Hello Peter!

I love how organised you are. I'd read two hundred pages on a day and 6 pages on another lol.

message 13: by SAH.Bookmom (new)

SAH.Bookmom | 35 comments Hello newcomers 😊
Yeah I’m not that organized.. I read as much as I can when I can haha which is usually in the evenings for a couple hours

I'm Melody and I started reading Stormlight last year. I'm currently on Oathbringer, but I've read (almost) all of the one shot Cosmere novels that were just recently released, his YA sci-fi series and want to read the Mistborn series soon.

I'm hoping I can catch up in Stormlight before the release of the 5th book this winter!

Dan Brown | 1 comments Ayo, I'm Dan and I began the Cosmere well over a year ago. I am caught up in the Stormlight Archive, reading Mistborn (Era 2), have read several of the novellas, and I want to start the Secret Projects. I joined this group to read about easter eggs I missed, and to see what other people think as far as theories and what they take away from the books!

message 22: by Robert (new)

Robert terry | 2 comments Hello my name is Robert, i found out about Sanderson work after he finished Wheel of time. I love his work and just have couple stand alone books and rhythm of war and I’ll be caught up on the Cosmere.

Hi Dan! This is exactly what we're going to do. The discussions are going to come alive with the release of Isles of the Emberdark and Wind and Truth! Happy reading and keep us updated while you read Era 2!

Marwan | 133 comments Robert wrote: "I love his work and just have couple stand alone books and rhythm of war and I’ll be caught up on the Cosmere."

Hello Robert!
I always wanted to get into the Wheel of Time myself!
So you are about to catch up, Great timing! With new books coming soon it's really cool to get caught up just before the release!

message 25: by Jaime (new)

Jaime Rosenfeld | 77 comments Mod
Robart, I also read most of the Wheel of Time before getting into Sanderson! My dad was a big fan and thats how he was first exposed to Sanderson and got me interested in the fantasy genre. I made it to about the 9th book in the series and then just fizzled out with school and life, it’s my goal to pick them back up again and start over soon though!

message 26: by Ned (new)

Ned Davidson | 2 comments Hi. My name is Ned I’m 13 and I’m a massive Brandon supporter. I only started reading the cosmere a few months ago but since then I have read mistborn era 1 and stormlight archive 1 2 and 2.5.

message 27: by Marwan (new)

Marwan | 133 comments Hi Ned!! It's honestly impressive you're reading the Cosmere at 13. That is a lot more reading than usual in people your age. You rock Ned!

message 28: by Gryffyn (new)

Gryffyn Hi! I'm new to Goodreads & have sort of struggled with reading as much as I used to over the last couple years, but was a big fan of Sanderson, especially the Stormlight Archive

message 29: by Stuart (new)

Stuart (stuart_books) | 1 comments New to the Cosmere as the only books I’ve read are the Mistborn series. I’m excited to read more!

message 30: by Muzafar (new)

Muzafar Pasha Khokhar | 1 comments Hey. My name's Muzafar. I've never read any Brandon Sanderson before, but have heard amazing things about his books - so I've ordered the Mistborn series and will start them very soon!

Looking forward to getting to know other Sanderson fans and discussing the books with them :)

Any advise on what to read after the Mistborn series?

message 31: by Zak (new)

Zak Hutchinson | 2 comments My name Zak and I’m from PA! I’ve read all of the Stormlight Archive books and the first two Mistborn books so far and loved them all. I think the Final Empire has been my favorite of the 7 I’ve read but I’m excited to see how the story progresses.

message 32: by Suyen (new)

Suyen Go | 1 comments Hi folks! My name is Suyen and I joined the Cosmere community by way of the Stormlight Archive. I've read the first 3 main books and also the novellas in between, and I'm currently on the last few hundred pages of Rhythm of War!

message 34: by Emily H (new)

Emily H Scott | 1 comments Hello, I’m Emily. I started reading/getting into fantasy last year and feel I am now in a good spot to start my cosmere journey!
I am currently reading the final empire and loving it so far. I can’t wait to continue reading.

I would also love to hear what everyone’s preferred reading order for the cosmere is 💁🏼‍♀️ I have seen so many different options.

message 35: by Marwan (new)

Marwan | 133 comments Hi Emily, Colton, Suyen, Zak, Muzafar, Stuart, and Gryffyn!!

My preferred reading order for the Cosmere is the one by the Quill to Live. It's designed to help you understand most of the references the deeper you go into the Cosmere!

Mistborn (The Final Empire)
The Well Of Ascension
The Hero Of Ages
Warbreaker
The Way Of Kings
Words Of Radiance
Elantris
Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection
Oathbringer
Dawnshard
Rhythm Of War
The Alloy Of Law
Shadows Of Self
The Bands Of Mourning
The Lost Metal
Tress Of The Emerald Sea
Yumi And The Nightmare Painter
The Sunlit Man

And you can read the White Sand graphic novels anywhere you want.

message 36: by Sidney (new)

Sidney | 2 comments Hello! My name is Sidney! I am super new to Sanderson’s books. I am currently reading The Well of Ascension. I am falling in love with the world and really want to read more of his books. I really appreciate seeing people’s preferred reading orders. There are so many books and it is slightly intimidating to figure out where to start!

Starkun ⭐️⚡️ | 1 comments Hi everybody!!! My name is Tawfik and I am from the USA (specifically Connecticut). I started reading the Cosmere in 2022 and finished the entire Mistborn series this past summer. I'm a slow reader LMAO.

I'm currently reading Warbreaker. My pacing has been slow because of school and mental health. Hopefully, I can finish Warbreaker soon and start The Stormlight Archive.

message 38: by Rose (new)

Rose McCrum | 1 comments Hi All, I'm Rose from the UK 👋🏼
I'm a big Brando Sando fan since the end of 2021, giving the Mistborn series a go after finally being convinced and I've been hooked ever since! I've now read most of the things he's published (still haven't quite cracked Wheel of Time though..) but the original Mistborn trilogy, Elantris and The Emperor's Soul have to be my all time favourites! 💖

message 39: by Elijah (new)

Elijah Williamson | 4 comments Hi everyone! My name is Elijah Williamson. I am from West Virginia in the United States. I started reading Sanderson's works in 2024 after a long hiatus from reading and fell in love with the world of Mistborn. I have read all Cosmere works except for the unpublished works, such as Dragonsteel Prime, and I am currently halfway through Wind and Truth. I am glad to be a part of this group!
