With so many books in the cosmere it can feel super daunting!! I have yet to read tress but I’m excited to start… would you recommend tress as a good starting point for Sanderson books for those who haven’t read any of his books yet? It seems different and more approachable than some of his other series so I was debating recommending it to one of my friends who isn’t as familiar with epic fantasy

I got the Mistborn trilogy for Christmas this past December and I finished the first book in a week! I couldn’t put it down!
I’m super excited to go through the whole Cosmere in a chronological order (as much as possible).
I just recently learned about Brandon Sanderson’s books and am looking forward to finding the Easter eggs as I go.

my name is Marwan, but nobody will call me that because it's too hard(even in my own language :) so I'm Maro to everyone.
I started reading Mistborn around March of last year and I instantly loved it, little did I know that I would spiral down the Sanderson lane and read the entire Cosmere, with only the Sunlit man left for me.
One of the best things in life is to enjoy a good conversation about books you love and as I'm fairly certain that no one I know will read the Cosmere (I have reader friends, they just won't read English duh) I'm joining this group to talk about a book series that deserves talking about!
Love you all❤

My names Conor and I started reading the Cosmere with Final Empire midway through 2023 and have been hooked since.
I've read Mistborn Era 1, The Eleventh Metal, Warbreaker, Elantris, Hope of Elantris and The Emperors Soul (in that order) and I'm currently reading through White Sand Graphic novel.
I have the Stormlight Archive set arriving 16th January so my plan this year is to get caught up with everything by the time SA5 is released in December.
Happy to come across this group as I'm excited to share my thoughts with people on the same reading journey.

My name is Peter. I got into the stormlight archive because when I was traveling overseas in 2016 I got a free audible subscription for a month. I wanted the biggest bang for my (Free) buck and saw that the way of kings was ~46 hours of audio so figured that was the best value. I knew nothing of the series but was instantly hooked. I binged all the audio books for stormlight and have slowly been reading my way through the rest of the cosmere since 2022.
I'm currently doing my first reread of the Stormlight archive (physical editions this time) to make it to the December release date. With the main series plus "Yumi" and "The Sunlit Man" I have to read 18 pages of Cosmere a day. I'm already 15 days ahead.

I love how organised you are. I'd read two hundred pages on a day and 6 pages on another lol.

Yeah I’m not that organized.. I read as much as I can when I can haha which is usually in the evenings for a couple hours

Hi Alana! Welcome to the group! You’ll have to keep us updated on your Stormlight journey. You’ll be right on track for the release of the 5th book, you timed it great! What other series have you read?

I'm Melody and I started reading Stormlight last year. I'm currently on Oathbringer, but I've read (almost) all of the one shot Cosmere novels that were just recently released, his YA sci-fi series and want to read the Mistborn series soon.
I'm hoping I can catch up in Stormlight before the release of the 5th book this winter!
Hi Melody, welcome to the group! What’s been your favourite Sanderson book so far? Keep us updated on your stormlight journey!

Hi Dan! This is exactly what we're going to do. The discussions are going to come alive with the release of Isles of the Emberdark and Wind and Truth! Happy reading and keep us updated while you read Era 2!

Hello Robert!
I always wanted to get into the Wheel of Time myself!
So you are about to catch up, Great timing! With new books coming soon it's really cool to get caught up just before the release!
Robart, I also read most of the Wheel of Time before getting into Sanderson! My dad was a big fan and thats how he was first exposed to Sanderson and got me interested in the fantasy genre. I made it to about the 9th book in the series and then just fizzled out with school and life, it’s my goal to pick them back up again and start over soon though!

Looking forward to getting to know other Sanderson fans and discussing the books with them :)
Any advise on what to read after the Mistborn series?

After this I'm planning on reading Warbreaker and then Mistborn :)
I joined this group to gab and geek out about cool Cosmere stuff! So excited to be here!

I am currently reading the final empire and loving it so far. I can’t wait to continue reading.
I would also love to hear what everyone’s preferred reading order for the cosmere is 💁🏼♀️ I have seen so many different options.

My preferred reading order for the Cosmere is the one by the Quill to Live. It's designed to help you understand most of the references the deeper you go into the Cosmere!
Mistborn (The Final Empire)
The Well Of Ascension
The Hero Of Ages
Warbreaker
The Way Of Kings
Words Of Radiance
Elantris
Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection
Oathbringer
Dawnshard
Rhythm Of War
The Alloy Of Law
Shadows Of Self
The Bands Of Mourning
The Lost Metal
Tress Of The Emerald Sea
Yumi And The Nightmare Painter
The Sunlit Man
And you can read the White Sand graphic novels anywhere you want.

I'm currently reading Warbreaker. My pacing has been slow because of school and mental health. Hopefully, I can finish Warbreaker soon and start The Stormlight Archive.

I'm a big Brando Sando fan since the end of 2021, giving the Mistborn series a go after finally being convinced and I've been hooked ever since! I've now read most of the things he's published (still haven't quite cracked Wheel of Time though..) but the original Mistborn trilogy, Elantris and The Emperor's Soul have to be my all time favourites! 💖
