I just finished Ghost Road Blues, and I immediately had to buy book 2 and 3. I have to see how this ends. I can't believe this is the author's debut novel.

I'm a huge Maberry fan. This series was great and he only improved from there. So glad you like it.

I can feel the Stephen King DNA very strongly in this one with way less of Stephen King's usual flaws.
Just recently finished The Escape Room
I initially thought it was going to be more of a gory escape room book but it ended up being more of a revenge thriller. Was a fantastic read regardless.
Currently reading The Iliad, as I'm a huge fan of Greek Mythology as well as Horror. Once I finish it, I plan to read some Edgar Allan Poe to start off my year in horror!
I am reading Talia and listening to Hell Bent. I was waitlisted for Hell Bent for MONTHS on Libby, so I'm excited to finally hear it!

I hope you enjoy Hell Bent! It was a favorite of mine!

Started The Fall by Alan Baxter. This is the follow up book to The Gulp. A series of stories about this very strange Australian town. Recommended.

I need to read THE GULP!

Yes you do! The series is along the lines of the Clifton Heights series we both love. There are individual stories all set in Gulpepper but all the stories are linked by little things that happen and come together at the end to make one big story.
AND the writing is really good!

So I just finished “where he can’t find you” by Darcy Coates. It was OKAYYY. Wasn’t amazing but ok. I gave it three stars. Lay 100 pages were great but the first 290 were hard to get through.
Just finished This Vicious Grace by Emily Thiede and am starting This Cursed Light which is the second book in the duology. It's pretty good so far
Started
Dust
I'm really trying to not peek at the ending but I'm dying to know what happens to the people in the silos!

I finished Winterset Hollow yesterday afternoon and needed a couple of hours of recovery from it, because it is MAD as you like! I loved it! It was almost a 5 star, just missing the mark with a minor annoyance (see my review for more details if you wish!) I’ve not long started The Grip of It it’s a quick read but I keep going back and forth as to whether I’m getting any enjoyment from it because the writing style is throwing me. I’ll persevere though because the story has hooked me.
Just started reading Comfort Me With Apples by Catherynne M. Valente and I’m on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out what’s going on and what’s going to happen. I will say the author’s prose is absolutely beautiful.

Don’t you just love it when a book makes you feel this way?! Hope you remain enthralled by it until the end! 😊
@Lisa & Monica: loved Let the Right One In by Lindqvist! Definitely worth the hype.I'm trying to dip my toes back in sci fi so I've been reading The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. Also recently read an arc, Free Burn by Drew Huff
I started listening to The Shining audiobook and am also reading The Silent Companions which is interesting and eerie so far.
@Ange have you seen the original Swedish movie adaptation of Let the Right One In? It’s done brilliantly and sooo uncomfortable to watch! 🫣

I am. And it's kinda disturbing already. But I like it :D
I watched the movie many many years ago and I don't remember it at all, so it's good for the book.
Just recently finished Briardark
and I absolutely loved it. The only thing I hated was that it ended on a cliffhanger and the next book isn't out yet :'(

That book was excellent, but yeah, disappointing that it's the beginning of a series.

Have you tried the show Silo?

I watched most of the first two episodes but didn't think they did the book justice.

Good to know, I don't have Apple TV but had debated giving it a shot if it ever was released on another platform.
I finished an almost 6 month trek through the mammoth-sized
