I'll skip January books since I already read Jane Eyre (I rarely reread books), and I'm not in the mood to read Lord of the Flies. Instead I'll be taking part in Of Mice and Men book discussion.

Curious to hear everyone's opinions about Jane Eyre for next month 😊

Great list for 2024. Both January’s books will be rereads for me but Lord of the Flies was read ages ago so it will be interesting to see what I think of it decades later!

Excited to start! I’m currently about halfway through the Count of Monte Cristo from my own personal reading list, I’m hoping I can have that done around mid-January with enough time to read Lord of the Flies, and then pick up Jane Eyre. Luckily, there’s some flexibility in there to finish Monte Cristo and Jane Eyre with Lord of the Flies and Of Mice and Men being fairly short.

So excited for January! I remember reading Lord of the Flies in highschool so I am curious to see if I enjoy it as much so many years later. I am a big fan of the Brontë sisters as well. Excited for January!

I’m another newbie from far off New Zealand. I like the choice of books so am looking forward to the year ahead.

I’m glad I found this group. Looking for ideas to read classics that I “fake read” in high school 30 years ago. lol. I’m starting with the adventures of huckleberry Finn. I know it’s not on this list but I already wanted to read it so I will start and keep y’all posted if you’re interested.
