So I'm guessing this group is totally dead now. Nobody is at all interested in the whole book of the month thing anymore?

Even when people read the book of the month, discussions were sparse at best. It's unfortunate.
I think we could still use this space to share our reading experiences, but I don't know that coordinated book-reading works very well with our disparate tastes.

I think most of us just got too busy. I haven't been reading as much until the last month or two when I sat down and forced myself to read something. Glad I did but a book of the month is tough work when you are busy and have all the books you want to read personally getting in the way. I have a stack of three that I'm working on right now, plus comics.
Yeah. Been very busy of late as well. I have lots of books on backlog as well. And of course I just bought Sense & sensibility & Sea Monsters, so another goes on the pile.
I've been reading but I'm more interested in working through the pile o' books on my shelf right now than being roped into reading what everyone else is reading (plus I STILL have to read my copy of Time Traveller's Wife from last year's group reading :)I wouldn't be sad to see this turned into a 'what are your reading' kind of discussion forum though.
It was a mixed bag for me. The suggestions for books were great and I read some novels I had never heard of and probably wouldn't have ever read because of the suggestions here. It was, however, disappointing trying to discuss elements of the novels and there being zero interest, or there just not being time for them to do so.I wonder if we would have better success if we treated this more like a RL book club, and have a specific date to be done with specific sections/chapters?
I've been reading two books a week for the past 3-4 months and my stack is still 20 titles high. I will say that out of that list The Shadow of the Wind and Ariel have been the standouts along with Child 44 and Genesis. Holy crap, that book...

Which one of the four titles earned the "holy crap"?

I think I've discovered something... Books. I just finished reading WWZ and now I'm reading American Gods. So far it's awesome. I'm with Brock.

I'm just reading stuff, and I don't know if I can't on a schedule of books. Most you've probably read what's on my plate. Next up is the Witcher book.
