Great Middle Grade Reads discussion

Many middle grade books mix things up by adding a dash of magic to an otherwise ordinary setting. It can be contemporary slice-of-life with a little something extra ... or a hidden magical world that exists alongside our own. Do you have favorites in this section of the library?

Natalie Lloyd comes immediately to mind. Her stories are often set in small towns with strange legends or traditions that everyone takes for granted ... and make us long to visit.
