SOLVED. Middle Grade Horror. Read maybe 2008-2012 but an older book maybe published in 80's-2000's. The male protagonist lives across the road/next to an older two storey-house and he believes his new next door neighbours are vampires. Spoilers. [s]

It had a red cover with white writing on the front I believe it started with "The" and had a second-word title and came with a dust jacket. I think it's American but could be set in England. The male protagonist was maybe 11 or 12 and loves old horror movies, his room is in the attic and he likes sitting on his roof and watching movies from a nearby drive-in-theatre. There was a mention of him watching Hammer Movies/Dracula movie with Peter Cushing? He thinks his neighbours are vampires because a few people have gone missing around the area and I think he met them before and got weird vibes (maybe he visited during the day and they didn't want to come out to greet him?) The people who move in next door include a young woman and maybe two men. He befriends a girl his age who he meets because she is going to a violin/cello lesson and he tells her that he believes his new neighbours are vampires. There was a scene where a young woman in the rain near a lamplight/Street Light asks for directions to a train/train station and one of the inhabitants from the new house approaches her and bites her and abducts her to hold her hostage in the house. The protagonist's friend somehow gets lured to the Vampire house and the protagonist arms himself with garlic and stakes to go and rescue her.

No sorry not this one, it was definitely a lot older and published before the 2010's. It was also a standalone book. Thanks for looking though :)
No sorry not this either, it didn't have any illustrations. I don't remember anything about a school so he could've been on school holidays. But this sounds interesting so I'll definitely check it out. Thanks for looking though :)
Bump, I just remember the cover under the dust jacket being red with white writing but can't remember the actual cover. It would probably be between 300-400 pages.I think the girl who plays violin/cello might know him from school but there was no mention of him attending school during the events of the book. The events take place over 1-3 weeks. Set in the suburbs as opposed to the big city or a country town.
There's a scene where the female vampire fights/argues with one of the male vampires because they want her to kill the lamplight lady but she wants to keep her alive so they can continue to feed (or vice-versa I just know there was an argument for killing vs using her as food). I think they knowingly kidnap the violin girl to lure the protagonist into their house. I know the protagonist tries to break into the vampire house during the afternoon because he knows they'll be asleep.
Edit: sorry, Ayshe had already guessed Prisoner of VampiresI'm busily adding to the Middle Grade Vampires list: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
It's not very big yet, but perhaps you might wish to take a look? :)
