Hey! Thanks Corina! Can’t wait to start this one…. Nervous and excited lol

Lol...can't help but be a bit nervous about the second/last book in a series. Hopefully it's the case of her other series where I loved the conclusion. I started listening to it today, but only at chapter 4.

Ya so far it has really good reception for Iris and Roman so I’m hoping it ends right for them! I like their backgrounds a lot from the first one! I’m starting now since you started already lol 😂

Have you ever read the Spark of the Everflame series?

I'm sure it will end right for Roman and Iris, I'm optimistic :)

I know could you imagine? I’m looking forward to getting home and reading all night. I got to chapter 3 or 4 last night before passing out but I kinda like that we’re gonna get an up close POV of Dacre

Hmmm...don't know if Dacre is the good guy, he still kind of gives me a bit of the creeps lol...but maybe things are more complex about what happened between him and Enva. Enva must have some of the blame surely and also, I wish she would just appear...I mean people are dying for her, at least Dacre is there.
I think Forest is just traumatized about what happened, though can't say I'm a huge fan either.

Yeah & he’s been put back together by Dacre himself so who knows what that all entails…. I definitely think there’s a lot more we’re gonna find out about Enva and Dacre!

I'm a bit further along and you definitely find out a bit more about Dacre and his world, which is interesting.
Also...keep an eye out for chapter 23 :D

I’m on chapter 26 and I’m so scared for Roman getting caught by Dacre. !!!! Damn Iris! But I know she HAD to alert Keegan and the army but I’m still like wtf poor Roman!


And also once war starts for any two people- it’s so hard to tell whose right and whose wrong 😑

I know...I felt the same way. Quite a few of those when I thought he was going to get caught.

Also, when Iris ran through that field and they were shooting at her and then those dogs...pretty scary.

No, haven't finished yet as been away at the beach for a couple of days, back home tomorrow. So, will probably finish tomorrow. There is certainly quite a bit happening.

Finished it...loved it. The ending was intense. I won't say anything yet.

Sign ups are already closed and teams assigned :(. I think you can try and sign up and be on the reserve list and if someone from a team quits, they can assign you to that team. In the group folder, there are 2 threads called All about UNO 2024 and UNO pre-challenge chat, links will be there for the sign up form and you can always ask if you can still fill that out.

Ok ya I saw that Kristie posted something about sign ups going to reserves but let me message her and find out

i have not been able to focus while reading lately so I bought the audiobook to catch up! I'll update you guys as I go along, I'm pretty sure I won't be spoiling anything lol

No worries, Bella, it happens. I listened to the audiobooks for both books and they are good, 2 narrators too. Hope it helps :)

I have like 70 pages left because the last few days have been crazy BUT personally, I’m a little bored with this one!

Bummer, Courtney! I actually loved this one too. I think the addition of Dacre and Enva was great and I liked how the story unfolded. I wasn't fast paced, but it didn't seem slow to me, maybe also because I was listening to the audio.

I think I'm in that boat right now! I need to find a fast-paced thriller or cute romcom I think :)
I just got to the part where Iris and Roman are finally talking!! but through the letters and Roman doesn't know it's her or remembers her :'( but it's still so cute that even with the lost memory, he's still just as curious and excited about the letters!!

Yeah, maybe try another read to break it down...like Abby Jimenez if you haven't read her. I just listened to Everyone in my family has killed someone and it was a fun one, very meta if you like that sort of thing.

I just I don’t know something changed for me and it might be because I’m fixing to go into a slump for fantasy books lol I don’t know if it’s I need to read you know something different, this next book that we do like a different genre or something just kind of like shift a little bit or what’s going on but I’m like making myself finish the last like 70 pages
