I wasn't surprised it was a shakedown. If she sincerely wanted to connect with him, she would have already done so before he became a senator. Nick knew going in there was a good chance it was a shakedown. He handled it great. This is the final payment. I hope he means it.
I was not surprised, given her history (or lack of same) with Nick.I think he would not give her more after this event.
I wasn't surprised at all. He said she had a history of doing this. I wish he hadn't paid her. He should have said "Good Luck" and walked right out of the room.
Nick's mother is an awful woman and he should not have given her one penny. She is a manipulative person who knows how to push her son's buttons. I hope we have seen the last of her but I am sure she will try to scheme her way back into his life somehow.
I wasn't surprised because the call came too soon after Nick became a senator. I did hope that she changed, but she continues to hurt Nick.
I wasn’t surprised either and understood why Nick had hope. It’s a phenomenon that children whose parents leave a lot to be desired will still hold onto that one flicker of hope, that this time they will show up better, will prove once and for all that they meant something to that parent.
The only reason why he’ll never give her money again is because Sam won’t let her have another swipe at him.
