Lots of books have been adapted into movies. Some people like the books better than the movies, and vice versa.

Have you seen a movie lately that's based on a book. Which do you think is better?

My favorite book/movie combination is 'Das Boot' from 1981. Both are excellent, and the movie sticks close to the book. The only thing I'm not as fond of is that the book is in first person.

Mansi | 25035 comments I saw All the light we cannot see ,and though I don't like movies /books based on world war ,I liked it.
Not read the book which is itself a very popular one with big awards

Bella (Kiki) (coloraturabella) | 8374 comments I really dislike the book Doctor Zhivago but I love the movie. In the book, they completely ruin Yuri Zhivago's character.

Luffy Sempai (luffy79) I dislike Rebecca, book and movie. I didn't think Daphne du Maurier and Hitchcock respectively could be incompatible with me. Oh well.

GwTWind won a Pulitzer, the only book written by its author. Its movie adaptation is adjusted for inflation the biggest hit in cinema history. All of this lends some mystique to the two. I do like both versions a lot.

I love Rebecca, the book, but I love du Maurier's My Cousin Rachel a little more.

Grace =^_^= | 36191 comments I think the movie adaptation of Bridget Jones's Diary is really good. I don't seem to get tired of it. I've re-watched it multiple times, including this year, whereas I've never re-read the book.

Great that you enjoy the movie Grace. Renee Zellweger's always good.

Jennifer ✨ | 1157 comments The adaption of Neil Gaiman's Stardust is really good, I would say the movie is better than the book for me
