For me it has started off very very very slowww... Because of the reviews I'm pushing through but honestly I'm tired of Eva and these headaches. Like girl come on now we get it already! Your head hurts. No shade.

I’m finally on chapter 21. Shit getting good now but def took a looooonnngggg time to get into it. This is a very real, toxic, codependent, triggering book that’s very relatable. I like how mature and uplifting it is in the sense of they did not stay those deviant juveniles. Come on with banging your daughter 4-5 prominent influential black female authors!!! 3 snaps for that and raising her to be a strong independent boisterous black queen!

I definitely agree! The toxic codependency is definitely triggering but so relatable. I'm so happy to see the change after finding out the truth of why he left and where he had been all that time. I wish it would've gotten to the good parts a little earlier so I had a chance to feel like I've enjoyed the book.
