IDK how many times I watched the movie Starship Troopers in High School... but it was a lot, a lot. I graduated in 2006 and I didn't read the book until much later on BUT I remember it giving me a new way to love the movie, even though the two were pretty different. The character names remained, and the general plot was in the same boat, but the movie and book scratched completely different itches for me. (Have you seen how hot Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, and NPH are?! *swoon*)
If you're tempted to watch the movie before reading, go for it! I think you'll still enjoy the book, at least I hope... lol I even just found out there are two whole ass other movies!! (I'm honestly scared to watch them...)
I know this book isn't going to be for everyone, (the reviews on here, definitely reflect that...) well that's just fine, I still love it and hope you get some enjoyment out of it, too.
