SFF Readalongs led by Kitty G discussion

This chapter was an odd one as realistically not a lot actually took place in terms of moving the plot along. However we get to meet Tavore up close again and I have to say I'm not sure if I like or dislike her at all yet... We know she had to choose between saving her parents or her sister, and she chose Felisin, yet actually was she really 'saving' her because sending her to the mines is maybe not a desirable?

We also see that Tavore asks Pearl (who I remember was at that Demon attack thing in DG and is a Claw?) and Lostara (who I don't remember, have we met before?) to go find Felisin so it's pretty clear she cares about her sisters whereabouts, however I don't know if I find Tavore cold or distantly caring... she's one to watch I think.

I liked seeing Strings and I figured that it was Fiddler too before we were told so that was cool.

Lots of older characters coming back into the story, and many names I have to try and remember!! :)

The demon named Pearl which was released by Quick Ben was already enslaved by Dragnipur in GOTM. I think it's just so happened that this Claw is also named Pearl. Lostara Yil is the Captain of the Red Blades in Deadhouse Gates. Both she and Pearl went into the Imperial Warren to hunt Kalam then.
