okay so i was in a similar situation w my current bf b p much i would talk to him b then get a bf n wed drift away n it was on n of like that for like a year- but this (school) year we started talking again n i got honest w him ab why we always stopped talking n i said sry n wtv n we were cool again, FAST FORWARD TO RECENTISH, i would always ask if he's mad at me or not bc he's always quiet which is still hard to figure out sometimes so i j ask if hes okay or smth more broad instead (bc hes v quiet and is j a bond over company kinda guy) so idk, i think it rlly does j depend on yall as ppl but like w denny i j had to get used to how he was as a person and accept him for that and learn how to navigate our relationship without either of us having to change who we are. but its v important w him to like, be nice ab things (like i can joke b if I'm being frl) like i make sure he knows its not rlly an attack b js checking in n being like, j thinking. but it also rlly deends on who they are as a person so idrkkk i hope anything i said helped
