Looking for vampires

Most of the women are kick ass. The world building isn't as tight as Patricia Briggs or Nalini Singh, but still pretty good.
Another kickass h. Kinda like GI Jane meets Ender's Game. She's an unapologetic special snowflake and it's fun watching her teach the boys a thing or ten.
The Jane Yellowrock books by Faith Hunter are really good. It has vampires and shapeshifters. The main character is awesome. The series is complete too.
Hey Gunilla,Given that your reading choices include a lot of first person and sarcasm (I approve), my trilogy might be your jam:
Blood Herring: Keep Your Enemies Closer
Think Vampire Buddy Cop. It's an alternating POV, so you get a lot of one-on-one time with the female lead. I'll link the first four chapters for free below and I am looking for ARC readers.
Let me know if you're dying for more. May your books be fangtastic!
Regards
~Drake

"I love this series! I've only read the first two but the best what SO great. Plus, Bitsa... *sigh*
(Added one extra that I couldn't remember yesterday! )I had written a giant list, including author name and 1st book and then somehow GoodReads refreshed the page and I lost everything! I'll just re-write the most important/my fave ones. I think their series name will definitely get you to the right page.
Night Huntress* + spin-off series
Argeneau Vampires + McNachton Vampires (both Lynsay Sands, the second is about immortal, thus vampire, highlanders. Sexy!)
Chicagoland Vampires* + Heirs of Chicagoland
Fred, the Vampire Accountant
Dark-Hunters series* (the 1st book isn't about a Dark hunter vamp, but a demi-god. However, the main characters do reappear in the following books).
Black Dagger Brotherhood (until The Chosen)
Immortals after Dark series
Midnight Breed series
All Soul's Trilogy*
Real Vampires ... Glory St. Claire series
Betsy, the Vampire Queen (aka Undead series)
Amanda M Lee has a lot of series, some intertwined, that have Vampire characters. However, those are not the Mmc or Mfc. Think all the Covenant books, the Mystic Caravan series, or the Death Gate Grim Reaper books. Sometimes they are sidekick, other times the bad guys. The list above-mentioned have truly vampire types books in the main part.
Anyway, I think you have enough to choose from with these mentions. The ones with a * behind their names are series I have or will reread because I like them so much. [Edit: Oh, oops saw later you had read Chicagoland already.]
I'm always interested to hear which series you started to read and really liked (especially if they might be books I have not tried yet ;).)

I read Bride by Ali Hazelwood recently and finished that in 1 day. There is supposed to be a second one. Does it have to be all Vampire characters? I really enjoyed The Others series by Anne Bishop.
I am definitely going to be watching these replies. I love vampire books too. I enjoyed the Sookie novels, but I haven't read Chicagoland, so I will have to check that out soon.

All of these are great.
As a fellow vampire enthusiast, cannot recommend enough the Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa - very compelling distopian take on the genre. Also, it's a given, but I didn't see it mentioned in the comments... Anne Rice's Vampire Cronicles never gets old 😉
A hidden gem
Dark Cravings by Madeline Pryce. It’s a short series (2.5 books in all) and really high on the sizzle and hot meter. You should be able to get the books even though the author went on a hiatus. Wish she’d get back to her writing because she has the talent. But she got tangled up with that whole Elloria’s Cave issue and I can sort of understand why she hasn’t returned.
Anyway, it brought me joy reading it. Maybe it will for you to.
How about The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent. It leans more romantasy, but the vampire lead is written so well and the tension is incredible. My friends can't stop talking about it.
Dare I mention my series titled The Enchanted Blood Line series. Immortal Obsession, Blood Tears and Eternal Hunger. Dark, adult paranormal romances full of love, lust, betrayal and history.
