This sounds good. I think TV does a better job adapting mystery/thrillers than romance. At least I found the characters are closer to the books. For some reason, they like to add triangles and/or alcoholics to romance heroes and heroines.
Netflix seems to love Coben. Just about all of them are cast and filmed internationally, mostly in the UK. I’ll be watching these two.
To your point, it’s harder to mess up a mystery because you’ve got to respect the story arc that embeds clues needed to solve the thing. You’d have to materially change the story to make in work. In a romance, they’ve got way more liberties available.

Good books are an excellent source material for great TV adaptions and Netflix is doing a great job with the mysteries. The romance books - not so much.
