The surveillance at Annie McGowan’s home almost captured maddog but for the mistake by a rookie cop whose squealing tires alerted Vuillon who took off running. All hell broke loose and when it was over, Vuillion escaped, a police officer was dead, another injured, a homeowner killed along with his two dogs. Lucas attacked Cochrane, the rookie cop, in full view of television cameras. How did things go so wrong? Your thoughts about the whole situation?

This was a major F up. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. This is the reason a civilian isn't used by the police. The surveillance needed someone in the house, which they couldn't do because Annie didn't agree. Add to that, a rookie cop, and a dispatcher who didn't get the information out about the car quickly. What an embarrassment and a prime situation for a major lawsuit.
