If you're a fan of Jane Bennet (or even if you're not), I hope you'll check out my story on Austen Variations today! As part of the site's "P&P: The Untold Story" series, I've written a short piece from Jane's perspective, as she tries to come to terms with her realization that Caroline Bingley is not, in fact, her friend.
Thanks, and happy Friday to you all!
Sorry, I realized I didn’t include the link to the story! Here it is: https://austenvariations.com/pp-untol...

I’m in awe! You managed to convey so much in such a short vignette!
Anne wrote: "Thank you. Off to read!..."Thank you so much, Anne! So glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate your kind words!
I am so behind in reading those. I keep meaning to and life gets in the way. They are all saved in my inbox tho!
Sam wrote: "I am so behind in reading those. I keep meaning to and life gets in the way. They are all saved in my inbox tho!"I know what you mean about being behind. I only just caught up with all of the other stories last week. I certainly enjoyed reading others' interpretations of the missing moments in P&P! Still, it's definitely a lot, especially when there's so much out there to read and do. Hope enjoy whatever is next on your list, Sam!

It sounds wonderful and I met the author and was actually in a small group workshop with her at the Jane Austen summer program in North Carolina.
And it’s still $10.99 in the states. Ugh.

The special offer prices often are country specific. I often find when someone posts in here about a 99cent book it is still much higher in the UK. But keep and eye out, the offer may come your way

I have to say that I’m probably going to be fangirling quite a lot in September. I had a message from Victoria Kincaid recently saying she’s going to be in the UK and visiting the city of York for a couple of days then. Asked if I wanted to meet for coffee!!!

The Banished Uncle: Expanded Edition: A Pride and Prejudice Variation520 Reiews; 61% 5-stars & 30% 4-stars
has anyone read both versions of Banished Uncle? It says the author added 200 pages of new content into the story and I am wondering how that works. Is it filler material, something of interest that fits in okay, or something that was missing from the story before and makes it better now?
That author seems to particularly add content to the actual published book. Sometimes up to several chapters.
I've read both. I think the expanded version was better, but I really enjoyed the first one as well. It had been too long since I read the first one, so I can't really tell you more than that.
I intend to read it again. I did enjoy the first version and look forward to seeing what changes were made.
I gave the original 4 stars and critiqued it for being too long with too many plots/subplots. I definitely won't be reading an "expanded edition"!
FREE - The Secret of Pemberley: A Pride and Prejudice Variation (Lizzy and Darcy - Variations on Pride and Prejudice Book 2) Kindle Edition by Cameron Coverdale
For those who are KU readers, I see that Anne Morris has put all of her books in there. I read most of them unpublished a long tome ago. She is more original than many writers in her plots without slipping into the wildly unrealistic which is a definite plus in her favour.
