let's go for 'De Profundis' It's short, beautiful, by Oscar Wilde, old and gay = perfect piece of literature
hi everyone! I was thinking about doing the secret history but here’s a list of some book I personally would like to read to help narrow down the options:)-the secret history
-crime and punishment
-good girls guide to murder
-one of us is lying
-girl in pieces
thanks to everyone for wanting to join!!<3
I heard so many good things about good girls guide to murder so I would be down, but honestly the secret history sounds good too xx
if you'd like , in Storygraph there's the option to do a buddy read so we can see who joins, our process and comment while we read! :)
is everyone okay if we move the date to later in feb? even like a week or so? but I think that’s a good idea dino!!
hey everyone! here’s the plan, we start reading the secret history on the seventh. we can update each other every 5 chapters. if anyone has questions or wants to move the date just ask here or you can message me:) (dino you might have to explain the storygraph thing<3)
hi!!! buckle up cause i may overexexplain. first of all, you have to have the app "Storygraph" it's similar to this one (only better imo) and if you'd like you can export your gpodreads data over there so you won't have to log every single book all over again. So, there's the option of a buddy read and a readalong, the buddy read is private, can be for up to 14 people and the start and end date is completely optional, and then a readalong is basically the same, but anyone can join (I'm a little confused with how a private readalong works) but you do have to set a start and end date (which i guess you won't go to jail if you don't do it like you put it)
here's a copy for what it says below a readalong: Make readalong public?
A public readalong will be discoverable in The StoryGraph's Readalongs section for its duration and anyone can click to join. You can change this setting at any time.
if this is all too complicated for everyone it's totally fine!!! I just thought it would be more fun since we can be a bit more specific about updates, we can share links and all that stuff :)))
"Readalongs feature lets you read a book with up to 1000 people! Dive into lively discussions, share insights, and explore new perspectives, all at your own pace.As the host, you can set up forums for different sections of the book and, if you like, you can keep them locked to readers until they reach specific parts in the book, making sure there are no spoilers!" - (copied from the app)
okay everyone! we’ve officially started the reading for the secret history. don’t feel rushed to finish quickly, just read at your own pace, this’ll be fun y’all:)
PS: for everyone who hasn't joined/doesn't wanna join on storygraph, I made it so the finish date is march 7th (so an entire month) but that can be changed if y'all want! or just ignore it lol :-)
Please consider reading my first book - The Charm: A Second Chance at Love by Mabel Havlin. The Kindle Unlimited version is only 148 pages.Thank you
I loved A helping hand by Tania Gold. Such a nice story line. Easy to read and I couldn't put it down. I finished over a weekend.Spicy scenes too which is a bonus. I read it on E-book and I liked the story so much I bought the paperback.
A Helping Hand
