I love the way the author really makes you feel like you are there in the moment with Tessa and Hardin. I like and hate both tessa and hardin and heres why:
SPOILER ALERT!!!!
Why i love Tessa: I think she is very sweet and humble and i can honestly see myself wanting to be friends with her in real life. I love how she stands up for her love for Hardin regardless of what other's think especially those whose opinion should impact her the most like her mom. I know her mom can be a total bitch but that doesn't stop Tessa from loving her mom however she will defend Hardin till her last breath.
why i hate tessa: she does have a tendency to cheat despite being a sweet girl. she cheated on her boyfriend with hardin and although her boyfriend was boring thats still not an excuse to cheat. she had plenty of chances to break it off but didnt until hardin forced her to say it to him. When she drinks (which is starting to become often) she gets freaky which is dangerous when she is around other men, she flirts and becomes "easy" (example: when she got drunk at the club in Seattle and kissed that random guy then brought trevor to her room she touched his arm and was obviously flirting then had sex with hardin that night) Then when she thought hardin kissed that girl at the frat house when she said "i dont kiss and tell" she didnt even stop to hear him out and instead kissed a random guy on the way out. And don't even get me started on the whole "Zed thing" . Sorry but i really hate cheaters.
why i love hardin: He puts in a lot of effort to be "good" for tessa. He does things that he never would have done like trying to conversate with his father without being disrespectful and apologizing when he breaks things or says rude things. He acknowledges that he has faults and wants to fix them. Even when fixing his mistakes or past are difficult he doesn't give up. He loves Tessa with everything he has and does everything he can to prove that to her .
why i hate hardin: BRO LITERALLY PUT A BET ON HER VIRGINITY!! then bro showed the bloody sheets to his "friends" as evidence! plus all the other stuff in the past like ruining a girls life and video taping and not letting her in when she had no where else to go. I think he surpassed the "asshole" title and is now an honorary "evil asshole" with that stuff. I didn't want tessa to take him back, if i was her friend i would tell her to run far away from him. Also how he feels the need to lie to her and keep stuff from her, bro is a HUGE red flag with his manipulation.
conclusion: this relationship seems very believable as far as today's standards and how things typically go. I feel like im tessa's friend when i read her POV and we are sitting in her dorm room while she tells me about everything. I thing this relationship is TOXIC AF but entertaining at the same time

I love the After series! Melody, I think you’ve said exactly why Anna Todd is such a great writer. I read the six books in no time. I’m now reading the spinoff series for Landon. It’s not as good as After. I’ve also never been on Wattpad before either have you guys checked it out?
