Excellent book. The tone is more optimistic than the title, and the issues are not uniquely American. Thanks Rhoda for the recommendation.

The authors tackle the growing epidemic of anxiety among the generation born staring in the mid 1990s, focusing on the importance of building antifragility and encouraging resilience and the unintended consequences of promoting "safety". The themes are also relevant for the growing political polarization in many countries.
