Joseph Ball | 8 comments Please add my new book to Goodreads database. The title of the book is Talking with Red Bird. Author Joseph Ball. ASIN: BOCT35X6NW. This is a book of essays of the south, stories of growing up in the south. I think a good book evokes emotion. Laughter (door to door algebra salesman), Grief (My Father's Kingdom), Chuckles (Lipsticky aunt), Sadness (The creek drank Tommie Jean Wilkins). A Red Bird talks. A long-tail, flap-ear, liver spot, wag tail bird dog gets consecrated. Walk in forest meadows with walls of sun. Ride The Juneberry Raft. Meet a genuine pink foot possum. You will tell others to read this unique new book.

gem | 2626 comments Looks like it's in the catalog already:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Note the ASIN you provided is wrong/invalid. It's actually B0CT3SX6NW.

The book was imported into the default "Joseph Ball" author profile:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Would you like your book moved to a brand new profile, and if so are any other books in this list yours?

Joseph Ball | 8 comments I am new. Don't really understand how GR works. I did make a new one I think

gem | 2626 comments You have a user profile (https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1...) but an author profile is different. They are automatically created when a book is added to the system, and the author can claim the profile via the GR Author Program. Let me know if you're interested in claiming an author profile.

About the author
Joseph lived in several southern states. His father was a college professor, specializing in Ornamental Horticulture. His mother was a public-school teacher, specializing in raising “Little Joe”. A host of wonderful grandparents, colorful aunts and uncles helped her.
“Little Joe” still rides The Juneberry Raft and watches little brown bugs in whispery woods with John Allen Kirkpatrick.
Joseph received his BS in Zoology from University of Arkansas, followed by an MBA from The George Washington University.
After five years at sea, courtesy of the US Navy, he spent a few years in university administration followed by a major leadership position in the Florida Citrus Industry. During this time, he continued his service as an officer in the US Naval Reserve.
He retired as a US Navy Captain, after 28 years in the Navy Reserve.
Married 57 years (at his wife’s death), he has two sons and one grandson. He resides in Florida, where he writes daily and watches his friend, Cheryl, DOO-DAP around and talk to celery.
Joseph listens to tall trees, walks dusty roads, saves turtles, and listens to songbirds sing each week.

Joseph Ball | 8 comments Can readers now read and review Talking with Red Bird?
And how do those reviews get to Amazon?
I'm new to this.
Thank you

gem | 2626 comments Readers can now review your book on Goodreads, but these reviews will not transfer over to Amazon (nor will Amazon reviews transfer to Goodreads). Amazon owns Goodreads, but the websites are operated entirely independent of each other.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Joseph Ball | 8 comments I signed up for a 100 book giveaway (giving away 100 copies of my book, Talking with Red Bird). How do I check progress on this?

gem | 2626 comments Volunteer librarians only deal with adding and editing book data. You'll have to contact GR support for questions about your author account, giveaways, or other site features/functionality.
