SPOILER-- I thought it was more about anxiety, think about it, Nancy being super anxious and cowering in teh corner when really it was her mind playing tricks on her all along. Or were there actual monsters??Or is ir more about mental illness more serious than anxiety?
Late to the thread... I think the book was about letting your mind get the best of you. Similar to what Darren ^ thought. I can't quite shake the eerieness of this book tho, I guess that was the point of it?
