Clean Reads discussion

So many folks were talking about this book for a while. In the first 20 minutes they mentioned someone dying of cancer and I had to stop listening. Now that I’m strong enough, I need to know if it’s clean? No explicit language or sex scenes. Can anyone tell me? Thanks!

I didn't finish. The book had some language I didn't love (f... and taking the Lord's name in vain). I was disappointed, because otherwise I really liked the book and wanted to read it.

Until the introduction of one character, there was no foul language but after he entered the story, some other characters used it and every time he spoke it was full of language offensive to me. There is sex implied and hinted at outside of marriage but not described. There are many good pages where neither of those things are included so I don’t think the author needed to put it in at all.
In my opinion the language would be considered mild swearing by most of the literary and reading world.
As for death, more than one death is mentioned, the one of cancer briefly throughout. The other death is a main catalyst of the story.

I Loved this book! And the movie! Almost a year later I don't remember the language, only the incredibly sweet ending!! And just the whole story. It's so good!
