This month we are reading The Rector's Daughter by F.M. Mayor.

I have already read this one twice; most recently last year, so I plan on listening to the abridged audiobook on BBC Sounds, (it was on Book at Bedtime) I think this can be accessed worldwide, so I'll put a link in to the first episode if anyone is interested ( it was read by Juliet Stevenson - always a treat). https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s...

I read it a few months ago, so I may dive in on the conversation but won’t read it again.

I am reading it now. I will finish it tomorrow, I think.

That was so frustrating! Not that he’s such a wonderful guy.

Haha, very true, Abigail...he doesn't seem that great. I am almost finished with the book - it really pulled me in! A bit of a slow start, but then it definitely picked up.
