Although I had some reservations about this one, there was a lot I liked too:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This one is very good. I preferred The Employees, as something very very different, but this is actually the more complete work (that was pretty much a catalogue for an art exhibit) and it's one of those books where there were so many passages I highlighted to quote.I loved the form as well - a fragmentary, non-linear work, in a variety of style including journal entries; biographical snippets of female writers; play dialogue; and prose poems.
Alwynne - I can definitely share your sense of unease. Although it's also hard to blame a book itself for the dominance of certain voices, and the best way to tackle it is to have many more diverse voices. Lolli to be fair do do that - their next book won the Prisma Prize for LGBTQI+ Literature in the Norwegian original.
