The first book I ever read was it ends with us I know there is a lot of different opinions on this but I think its the best book as your first read as its a very easy read

I’ll recommend one of the first few books I read, which was Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. It’s not super long and has a powerful plot <3

i think bttm by Lynn Painter or Strange Unearthly Things

depends on the age of the person. if they are a child, I would go with "Tale of despereaux." I loved that book.

if they are an adult, for example my mom I found her a Spanish copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird," and she has been enjoying that. alternatively also "The Homeless Bird"

I'm not sure what I would recommend for a teenager/YA.
