This part of the story was a bit of a cliff hanger for me. I understood when the timing would have been really off, but I would have hated to have the murderer go free. Of course Tyler's parents would really lose again. I wonder whether they might have suspected Cameron??
I agree. This was a cliffhanger. I'm sure Force must come back to this murder. I hope it doesn't hurt Skip and Sam. It would be devastating if Skip messed up when he can't redeem himself. I also worry that there will be a backlash in their family. Strangely, only Sam is in the dark about Skip's investigation. Her sisters know the backstory, apparently.
This is an interesting case. I think Cameron killed his brother, and Skip realized this. He was under stress from his wife's leaving and decided that arresting Cameron would only devastate the family further. Perhaps he thought that allowing Cameron to enlist in the military would straighten him out.
I also wonder if this case isn't somehow connected to Skip's shooting, which happened at the same time that Sam was thinking about reopening the investigation.
For the life of me, I just can't see Skip letting Cameron walk, if he had even a shred of proof that he had killed his brother. Maybe all he had was his gut feeling and that wouldn't get a conviction.Cameron would make a great suspect in Skip's shooting. Maybe Skip was looking at the case again and Cameron got wind of it and shot him.
You make a good point, Lauren. Cameron may have shot Skip because of him because he thought Skip may figure out that he killed his brother.
