" Well with that attitude you will die, you have as much a chance as everyone else, you're strong and smart. Let's go outside."
" Marcus and April how was your life back in 4." Marcus gave a vague outline of his life, and April told them about training" What's your strategy going into the game."
April said something basic about trying her best to survive, she knew it wasn't good to realese to much of the strategy
" Why are you too holding hands." A reporter asked "Me and Marcus are actually dating said April, we have been for a few months and we both got in the games somehow." There were a lot more questions after that but someone ushered April and Marcus away
(Ahh ok)April was shocked by the luxury of the suite if she died at least she would get to experience this, then she went to sleep.
April's lips tingled after her and Marcus's kiss. She added to reporter's question " My dream was always to win the hunger games, it's not anymore, now It's for Marcus to win the games, I love him so much and I plan to always be with him in the areana."
At long last, the train arrived in the capital. In a blur, Lacey and Alex were rushed to their suite. Lacey walked straight to the far window, paying no attention to her extravagant surroundings. She sat down against the glass and leaned on it, looking out at the city. She secretly hoped for the glass to break and her to fall out.
Alex was right next to her he secretly wished he could get back at the capital. Jace From 12 Had escaped the district to see him now he's dead. Alex's Best friend is dead. he wasn't gonna let Lacey Die. not after what they did to his friend. (If you didn't know Jace was my character from last games)
((Wait so he tried to escape his district which led to him getting reaped and dying?))"Do you know when training starts?" Lacey asked absentmindedly.
After a while of sitting on the floor, Lacey's legs started to hurt, so she decided to get up and look around the suite.Woah. Lacey had a good life in District 4, but this was extravagance to the highest degree. It made her almost uneasy - like the presence of anyone not "of capital fibre" would sully it.
Once she had her bearings about her, Lacey settled onto one of the beds and folded her arms on her chest as she gazed at the ceiling. She quickly grew restless, however, and started pacing.
Alex sat On his bed. He seemed to not care about the room the Niceness of it he just wanted to Get this over with.
((I'm probably gonna stop commenting on this thread for a bit seeing as we're really just stalling until something happens))
((Ok apparently we can train whenever we want))"I have a lot of nervous energy, so I think I'm gonna go train. Do you want to come with?" Lacey asked.
Lacey sprinted into the suite and slammed the door behind her. Leaning her whole weight against it, she slowly sank to the floor, and her tears started to fall.
Once the pain had lessened, Lacey got up and went to the bathroom. She gently washed her hand off, wincing, and then wrapped it loosely in a towel.
Lacey heard the door open and stiffened. She didn't want Alex to see her hand and unally with her because of her injury.
Lacey faked a bright, cheerful tone. "Yeah! It looks worse than it is. I promise," she said, lying through her teeth. Even with it washed and wrapped, her hand was still raw and bleeding under the towel.
"Are we sticking together no matter what happens?" Alex asked he was nervous that the only person he considered a friend would abandon him.
"Of-of course! Why would you even ask that?" She bit her lip, and then continued, more hesitantly under the weight of total honesty. "If anything, you would abandon me - I mean, I'm injured, I can't fight..." she trailed off.
Lacey nodded. "It was just so stupid... I was using chemicals that I'd never seen before, and my hand slipped..." She delicately unwrapped her left hand. The whole area where the spill had hit had become scabbed and was oozing pus; the rest of her hand was an angry red.
Alex Understood. "It's alright." he looked at her hand. "You should be okay but not until the games are over."
"If we make it that far..." she muttered, then immediately felt bad for being overly negative when Alex was trying to cheer her up, so she switched gears. "Besides, at least I'm right handed!"
Lacey nodded uncomfortably. "Umm... I'm gonna try to take care of my hand now..." she said awkwardly, hoping he got her message.
Lacey locked the door and sighed deeply now that she was alone again. The bathroom seemed to lack any real medical supplies. However, after a bit of searching, she found some gauze and tightly bound her hand. Then she stood perfectly still, trying to detect if Alex was still in the room.
Alex was thinking about his parents he sat along a wall. "I will try to do my best to make you proud." he said quietly his words soft he was on the brink of crying.
Lacey heard murmurs, (though was unable to decipher what was being said), so she decided to stay in the bathroom. She wanted to be alone, and she was guessing Alex felt the same way.
