5.6 Tiger, Tiger

Fort Boyard is a French game show that takes place in the Napoleonic fortress of the same name. In it, contestants complete challenges to earn keys that will allow them to access the treasure room, a chamber full of gold guarded by the resident tigers. While the real tigers retired in 2022, there are still CGI versions roaming around to terrorise anyone who doesn't escape the treasure room in time.

Read a book that features a tiger on the cover. This must clearly be a tiger (not a domestic Bengal cat) with stripes visible.

Examples: The Jungle Books by Rudyard Kipling , The Tiger Flu by Larissa Lai , Year of the Tiger An Activist's Life by Alice Wong , The Tiger and the Acrobat by Susanna Tamaro Three Tigers, One Mountain A Journey Through the Bitter History and Current Conflicts of China, Korea, and Japan by Michael Booth

Required: Post the cover.

In the meantime, hopefully this is clearly enough a tiger:

Yes, I think that works. Stripes and ears clearly visible and obviously meant to be a big cat.

Trish, Fiona, those both work. Very clearly tigers!

Robin P | 1806 comments This one shows a bunch of book covers and the second one down on the right has a tiger, probably it is supposed to be The Life of Pi. Is enough of the tiger showing?

The stripes and tail are clearly visible, so I'm going to say yes. For peace of mind though I'm going to recommend linking back here when you claim so the reviewing mod knows it was approved.

Approved, it's recognisable enough as a tiger face. Again, might be worth linking back so the reviewing mod knows it got the thumbs up.

Not quite clear enough that they're tigers, I'm afraid, they're a little too abstract. I won't lie, I interpreted them as badgers at first glance!

No worries. Was worth the try as it's been on my TBR for ages. :)

Yes, that's fine, clearly a white tiger. I do love white tigers.

Will this one work? The tiger isn’t fully visible so I wanted to make sure it was ok.

Yes, that's absolutely fine. That was actually one of the examples I dug out before I pared down the list for the sake of space in the task writeup!
