I’m sorry this group is amazing?? thanks for doing this!! i started realizing I loved reading when my teachers would put us into levels for reading by our lexile. my lexile was one of the highest in the class! the teacher started a small group that would read in the hall filled with other students like me.then in middle school, I started reading dystopian novels like Divergent, Renegades, and Keeper of the Lost Cities and realized how easy it is to get lost in a book!! now I am older and reading just as much!! it’s so fun!!
I started reading when I was about seven or eight. My parents never allowed me a lot of screen time so I had to use my time differently and that's when i got into reading. When we had to read one book every month for school I realized that I was a really fast reader and I read at least nine books each month. I've loved reading since then and never stopped until now. It has sometimes been difficult to manage my time, I sometimes had reading as my first priority which was a little bad for my grades and also for my sleep schedule, and still is. But I just love it so much so I'll probably never stop

i loved reading about your experience with reading! it's great you were able to dedicate non-screen time to books instead. thanks for sharing :) (also, the grades and sleep schedule part is very relatable)

This is awesome, I have two daughters that had a struggle with wanting to read. I never forced books on them just took them to the library and told them to look around and if something caught their eye just to give it a try. When my youngest was in elementary school her teacher couldn't understand why she didn't want to read till we discussed it wasn't that she didn't like to read it was that while her class was reading chapter books we were reading full length books such as Twilight or The Darkest power Trilogy with her at home with her. They finally tested her and she was reading at a high school level and needed to be moved to gifted classes.
