Holy shit wow. I was not expecting this to be so morbidly dark. There was no light until the very end of this tunnel. Just when you think things couldn't get worse they did. I found I was on the edge of my seat wanting more with this book. I even stayed up to midnight while being completely exhausted because I wanted to know how it ended. To believe this is a series is hard as closed so well. I just hope the rest of the series is just as good as this first book.
