Thanks so much Sharon! I have both of these on my physical TBR at home so at least I won’t be waiting on books coming in from the library.
Jenny, the first book I’ve chosen for you is The Oysterville Sewing Circle by Susan Wiggs and I hope there’s lots of sewing mentioned.Next for something different, I’ve selected an Australian romance in The Shack by the Bay by Rhonda Forrest.
I hope you enjoy them both! We can do this 🙌🤞
Sharon I pick the following book for you - the blurp of the book sounded interesting.Highlander's Captive by Mariah Stone
I hope you enjoy the book.

Thank you, Tracey, you picked two interesting books. I am looking forward to reading them.

Thanks Jenny, that’s been on my list for a while so will be good to get to it!

I’ve started my first buddy pick, and decided to pick up the longest one first, The Institute by Stephen King.

My pleasure, Sharon. Happy Reading, Jenny
Finished my book, I had added it to my list because I love time travel and Scottish romance. Let’s just say it’s no Outlander….
Sharon wrote: "Finished my book, I had added it to my list because I love time travel and Scottish romance. Let’s just say it’s no Outlander…."I think you’re the first to finish reading your buddy pick, even if you didn’t love it.
I'm sorry, Sharon, that the book I picked for this month was not enjoyable. I hope next month will be more enjoyable for you.
Tracey, I started the The Oysterville Sewing Circle. So far, I have enjoyed reading it. It is about the fashion industry and a young designer.
Jenny it’s not your fault, I put it on my reading list! I love time travel novels so thought it would be good! I’m glad you chose it so I can keep clearing my list (and adding to it!)

Sharon wrote: "Jenny it’s not your fault, I put it on my reading list! I love time travel novels so thought it would be good! If an SBC buddy pick is a winner, I'm so grateful that one of you chose it for me, but if it's a dud or a DNF, I'm still grateful that it's now off my TBR. It's a win/win 🙌

I am finished with The Oysterville Sewing Circle.Tracey, it is not about Sewing per se. The book is about domestic violence and the way women can come together to find support without notifying their abuser - they called the support group "The Oysterville Sewing Circle".
It is an enjoyable book to read. However, it was a little bit confronting to me due to the fact I grew up with domestic violence.
This book also highlighted the negative side of the fashion industry.

Pity about the lack of sewing though 😉
I agree, Tracey - I put it on my TBR list, hoping the book would be about sewing. I have now read the book and can tick it off my list -- hooray.

Yeah - the shack by the Bay!!
Just started reading my second buddy pick, phew! Wasn’t sure I’d get to start it 😬 what about you Jenny and Sharon?
Sharon wrote: "I only do one a month so I’m done - posted earlier"Well done Sharon! I think I'll sign up for one in April and give myself a 'breather'.
I have finished both my two books that Tracey pick for me.The second book was more enjoyable for me than the first one. However, I would recommend both books because everyone sees book plots differently.

If you wish to have a buddy choose a book from your SBC bookshelf, please comment below with the amount of books you wish to have picked out for you.
I will pair you with your Buddy using Random.org on March 1st if enough have signed up by then.
Rules-ish:
You will need to create a shelf titled Stitchers Book Club TBR or SBC TBR on Goodreads. Put books on it that you can read in March 2024.
Happy Reading!
Sharon
