After reading the first four chapters, it kind of has a Shield Hero vibe, but in a fluffy shoujo way.
Just finished this one, and I super enjoyed it! It had that light shoujo vibe I've been craving lately.
Loved the characters, especially Ruri. Her "revenge" plan was hilarious.

I read the first 4 manga volumes in september as part of a J-lit cat reads week and quite enjoyed the story and illustration.
These were my notes and they may be from the book description. I haven't read the LN yet. I hope it will be as entertaining as the Mangas were.
The White Cat's Revenge as Plotted from the Dragon King's Lap: Volume 1 by Kureha, translated by Christina Rose. (David Evelyn translated the LN version.) 4*s
“ Ruri just can't get away from Asahi! Her clingy, oblivious childhood friend is beloved by absolutely everyone, making Ruri the target of resentment and jealousy from Asahi's horde of groupies. When Asahi is summoned to another world to be their "Priestess Princess," of course Ruri gets dragged along for the ride-and branded a traitor who must be exiled to the woods! But now that Ruri is finally out of Asahi's shadow, she may just find that a new world is the perfect place for a new beginning...”
Reincarnated into an isekai, Ruri is beloved by the fairies who appear to be the source of all magic in this world. What’s up with Asahi? Why is everyone so enamored with her?
The story is cute and funny and hold’s my interest. You don’t find out the cat connection until near the end of the first manga volume. I will probably come back and read the rest of the manga series and, maybe, the light novel.
