Goodreads Ireland discussion

Dia Duit. I'm Sandra from Cologne, Germany and very happy to find a Group about Ireland here on Goodreads. I'm interested in Ireland and irish history since my english teacher in 9th Grade thought to make the lessons more interesting by introducing us to Ireland. Since then I'm a big fan of the emerald island and since my first visit in 2009 been there 7 times. It's my happy place to recharge :-) 4 years back I started learning gaelic, which is still in progress as I don't have much time for studying. I hope to get a lot of recommendations on irish books and meet more interesting people and fellow readers.

Thanks for your Kind Words. I'll try to get me a copy of the International. @Paul: I doubt it. I'm a bloddy beginner and just started the second lesson with Rosetta Stone ;) But it's fun even though I sometimes feel as if I have my tongue tied up :D
