I agree and confess my vote was only based on having had a copy of the book I voted for and hadn't read it yet. But all were interesting choices and having read Stone Blind can especially vouch for it.
I loved Birnam Wood and was shocked to see so many people found the start tedious and slow...for me it was a real pageturner.
My library has a copy! Most of the selections here are not available, even at the main. Hoping to join you all.
Hester wrote: "I read Birnam Wood recently so will not be joining you , but will be interested in the discussion."Same here, I'm hoping there might be someone from New Zealand or more familiar with New Zealand's politics to shed light on some aspects.
Ruben wrote: "I loved Birnam Wood and was shocked to see so many people found the start tedious and slow...for me it was a real pageturner."I think it was that plus the sudden outburst at the end when she goes full-on Lee Child that didn't work for me. But I know a lot of people responded to it, and think it would make for an interesting discussion book.
Put in a request to my library yesterday!
(Although, I'm doing an atrocious job this year of accurately estimating how much reading I can/will do in terms of volumen/pace.)
