First Quarter Trivia Challenge - New York to Dallas
Duration: March 1, 2024 - March 31, 2024

How much do you know about the In Death series books? Ready to test your knowledge? Here’s how the challenge works.

• Each quarter we will create a poll for members to vote for their most favorite In Death book. The top three will be used for that quarter’s challenge.
• One book will be featured each month in that quarter with trivia questions created based on the story.
• The trivia challenges will be posted on the first day of each month at 8:00 a.m. EST.
• There are two ways to win. The first one to complete the questions and the person getting the most correct answers will be the winners.
• Winners will receive designated award titles. The one who completes the challenge first will receive the Nadine Furst Ace Reporter award title. The person getting the most questions correct will receive the Eve Dallas Super Cop award title.
• We will maintain a list of the winners throughout the challenge.
• We are using the honor system, counting on you not to look at other members’ answers. We invite you to try and answer the questions from memory but it’s your decision as to whether you reference the book for help.

Melinda Jones - one of the twins who were his last original victims before he went to prison.

Which one? First it was Sister Susan, Sarajo Whitehead when she made contact with Melinda, Sylvia Prentiss when she was arrested and a bunch of other; most importantly Stella - Eve Dallas’s mother

6. Describe the tattoo Isaac placed on all of his victims?
At least those in New York & Dallas, it was a heart with their number (in order they were taken) on their breast

7. What gift did Eve and Roarke bring Peabody from Texas?
Cowboy boots (pink)

8. What was the shocking revelation about Isaac’s partner?
She was Eve Dallas’s mother

Perfect! Congrats. I’ve never reread this one because I remembered being underwhelmed. I reread it for this challenge and have no idea what was going on with me the first time. I loved it!

Jonetta, I saw your updated review. There is a wide range of opinions on this book. I remember when we were doing the group read, I didn't understand why you thought Eve was weak in this one. I believe, where we are and what is going on in our lives impact how we feel about the books we read.

Sharon, I must have been in a “mood” back then based on what was going on. Whatever it was, it made no sense this second time around. We got plenty of Peabody in the most empowered way and Eve was never more at the top of her game.

I’ve no clue!
