What did you think of Cassie, Evan, Ben, and the other characters in this book?

Spoilers are okay in this thread.

The only character I've met so far is Cassie...she seems pretty cool.

I don't like how Cassie is so hung up on a guy she's had one conversation with (Ben Parish)

I liked Cassie in the beginning but her whining had me yearning for a change in perspective. Evan is just... creepy!

I really love Cassie. She's the reason why I liked the books so much. Her sarcastic perspective is awesome and I fell in love with her from the beginning. I think she has enough traits that scream "cliché-average-teenager girl" to seem realistic. She has flaws, makes wrong decisions and is not perfect ((fit for an apocalypse)) either, but who is?

Regarding Evan, I'm afraid you'll have to wait for the conclusion of the second book to fully understand him. I for my part found him a little strange, but as long as he keeps my precious Cassie alive I don't care. At all. :D

Vio, I totally agree. I love how Cassie is alive basically just because she is lucky, not because she is some super special snowflake with amazing powers or anything and she just has to do the best she can to survive.

My favorite character is Ben because I felt like I watched him change the entire time

I really liked Evan but watching Ben evolve was really interesting
