Doing fabulous! I made something like a dutch pancake for breakfast. I had to verify my email before I could comment lol... sad to have missed wednesday's lit club meeting! hope it was fun
Welcome aboard Milo! I'm doing well this morning, went to the rec cen with friends and then we got food after.
Sorry I've been inactive recently. I've been chilling, though. I'm reading a book called "The Dynasty" by Jeff Benedict. Not like any of you fools care. Go back to living your simple little lives and try not to impede anyone else's greatness. Goodnight.
Now that the quarters over I have lots of time so I’ve been reading a lot of “A Clash of Kings” by George R.R. Martin and “SPQR” by Mary Beard. I’ve also been playing a video game called “Outer Wilds.” Life is good
I see you rated “The Dynasty” 5 stars Noah. Would you care to share what you enjoyed about it?

I'm a huge fan of the NFL and I loved being immersed in the business and relationship aspect of a sport we only watch for the games. I'm also inspired by what Tom Brady did over his time in New England. While I forgot to write a review for "The Dynasty," I just finished Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney... I'm about to write a review for it... It won't be nice.
i didn’t like conversations with friends except the chunk that went “it made me want to step on her foot very hard and then look in her face and deny that i had done it. no, i would say. i don't know what you're talking about. and she would look at me and know that i was evil and insane." that earned it 1 extra star for me
Does anyone have any book suggestions? I am currently between books and would love to hear what yo guys are into at the moment.
I'm reading a book by Brandon Sanderson for the first time ever and I love it so far!!!!! I'm definitely a fan now! They only had "Tress of the Emerald Sea" at the Book Loft in Solvang, but I'm totally enjoying it.
Haven't gotten around to Tress yet but I heard it's great...and so is everything from Sanderson! Glad to see you like him
I finished Tress yesterday and loved it!!! Thanks for recommending this author! I'm definitely going to pick up some more of his books on our book crawl!
Oh. My. God. What an amazing book!!! Officially hooked forever. Just picked up the next one in the series! Kaladin is my favorite character maybe ever, but I'm also obsessed with Shallan and how clever and snarky she is... and it was also exciting to see Hoid/Wit after reading Tress (which is a Cosmere book and naturally has him too). Those are probably my top 3 favorite characters, but frankly, I love all of the characters a ton, which is a shock to me because I read and enjoy a lot of books with unpleasant characters (see "The Secret History" haha!). I whipped through the second half in like a day because it seriously hooked me--probably the first time I stayed up with a light to finish a book since I was a kid (this is explicitly a lie but it *is* the first time I felt like I literally couldn't put my book down to sleep instead of choosing to stay up). I can't wait to read literally every other Sanderson book ever written! Thanks again, Josh, for being one of the people to convince me to read his works!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, makes me so happy to see someone share my enthusiasm for the series. Kaladin is probably my favorite character as well, and Hoid is definitely up there too. It only gets better from here!

Sorry, I forgot to mention this in my last comment. The Cosmere is a pretty vast series with a debatable reading order, but based on my experience, I would personally recommend reading the standalone 'Warbreaker' BEFORE reading book two of the Stormlight Archive. It's definitely not required to understand it (I read Stormlight all the way through before getting to Warbreaker) but I think you will find some parts of Words of Radiance a lot more enjoyable if you've already read Warbreaker

Holy crap, that book was amazing! I still have so many questions, and I can't wait to read more Stormlight Archive books to answer them! Thanks for the tip, Josh!
