I'm a huge Nic Cage fan so I had to comment that I appreciate the Con Air love.

It's a very surreal, slow French new wave film about a couple of young women and their encounters with the ghostly residents of a haunted house who keep repeating the same tragedy over and over. But it's not that straightforward 😄. It's about three hours long, so it's probably not something that would appeal to many, but it is one of my (two) favorite movies of all time.

And one I LOVED but haven't been able to find a copy since is Saved (2004).
These aren't my absolute faves but some great films I enjoyed.
Another one I like to recommend to people if they haven't seen it is Leaving Las Vegas (1995). It was such a brilliant film but too depressing for me to ever watch it again haha.

We can spend a year revelling in the movies that we already love, and introduce each other to our favorites. To that end, in this thread we will nominate 100 of our favorite movies. Then we can watch and critique them. If you want to make a big event out of your movie nights, go for it. (Please, let us know how it went.) If you want to peak out at a horror film from the safety of your couch and afghan, that's also great.
