Had not read Vonnegut in many years, though I voraciously consumed his books as a teen. I picked this one up for free at a recycling spot, and I'm finding that the tone and apocalyptic feel of some of his books aren't the greatest for this period of my life, though I still appreciate the story telling style, easy readability, and character depth. Parts of this one did feel dated though, as it was set in the 80s, pre-internet, and the invention he made sort of foretold the internet, now it seems quaint. Still, a great creator of vivid antagonists and a unique portrayal of the hubristic nature of humans. RIP.
