I actually completed the challenge aside from letting the library know that I completed it. I guess as I was finishing up my last book on my list: Good Omens, author Terry Pratchett passed away, and it really threw me off, and I just forgot about the reading challenge and delved into finding out more about Pratchett. What a treasure that book is. I really didn't want to give it up to return to the library, so now I know I must buy my own copy. But anyway, my 5 books were: Neverwhere, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, A Wrinkle in Time, The Graveyard Book, and Good Omens. All in all, it was a fabulous adventure. Many thanks to the library for inspiring the reading schedule.
This was my first time to participate in the Winter Reading Challenge. I really like the idea of the challenge and especially it being in the winter. The library system I retired from when I moved here in 2012 had a summer reading program at the same time as the children's. We gave away your choice of books that had been donated. It is a much poorer library system! I did complete the challenge. I picked up my mug yesterday and had my coffee in it this morning. It is lovely. Thanks to Mid-Continent!
