Finished listening to The Martian by Andy Weir. Loved this book!!! Definitely not something I normally read. It is SciFi but there are no aliens, no highly scientific things. I listened to the audio and the reader was fabulous. I was pulled into the story immediately. It received 5 stars from me which I don't usually give out.
Finishing off Sarah MacLean's last Rules of Scoundrels book: Never Judge a Lady by Her Cover. I'd been maybe a little *too* excited about this one and set my expectations too high... I don't know, I'm just not feeling it as strongly as the others. Still a solid 4*, just not the resounding 5*s I gave the other three books.

I'm reading Shaman by Noah Gordon. It is so interesting. I read his first of the trilogy, "The Physician" last year, but there is a big skip in time, that it's not a problem. Also started The Good Girl on audio. It's an exciting read.
Let me know what you think about 'The Good Girl' ! I've been considering that title for the book discussion collection!

It kept me up one night because I had to keep listening to it. Then after I did finish it, I went back to listen to the last few chapters. It been compared to "Gone Girl," but IMHO "Good Girl" is much better. I connected with the main characters. I also liked the style of the writing. It is broken down into sections where the different characters tell a part of the story. It's been called a thriller, but it's not one in the sense of being scary. I would recommend the book to anyone who likes a good mystery. BTW, the audio is done very well by three different narrators.

Fantastic book, connects a scientific subject to people who wouldn't usually read something so science oriented superbly. I myself am a space nut and also enjoyed it. I hope they do a good treatment with the movie, I believe they're filming now.
