This sounds absolutely lovely - I'm curious to know whether these kind of talks are an established thing with your homeschool compatriots. Have you (or others in your group) covered a number of different authors?
Hi Michael,This is the first time a talk like this has been given that I know of=f. I have a library of about 2000 books and 500 of them are New Zealand children's books mainly published before 1980. I am trying to encourage other homeschool parents to read great NZ literature to their children.

Hello all,
Recently, I gave a talk for homeschool mums at home about 11 children's books written by well-known New Zealand author, Elsie Locke.
Locke is best known for the children's classic, The Runaway Settlers, and it's been rarely out of print since it was first published in 1965. She wrote other wonderful historical fiction novels as well.
Here are the notes from the talk with details about each book. (PDF)

Full reviews and photos of each book can be found on my blog here (scroll down to Locke, Elsie): https://livingpublications.wixsite.co...

Next month I will give a talk on Ruth Dallas and Eve Sutton.
Enjoy!
