Hiii this is so random but I want to reread all of Emily Henry’s books (Book lovers, beach read, people we meet on vacation and happy place) in April before Funny Story comes out just to get in the spirit and just because I have been wanting to anyway. Would anyone want to do a buddy read? It doesn’t have to be for all of them since I’m probs going to do them the week before ish but I have always wanted to do that and I figured it would be fun!

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Emily Henry's books, but are they no smut? If so I'd be down!

I personally loved it ik a lot of people had mixed opinions!! It has romance but a lot of the plot and themes are also based around a friend group and them going on vacation together and they’re all getting older. I thought It was a beautiful story but can see why some didn’t love its

Yay that’s so exciting !! I am just pumped for funny story but I also cannot wait to reread her other books and actually annotate them this time. Does anyone have a fave by her? I am a Beach Read girly forever

from what i remember, i think pwmov was my favorite. beach read was really good as well but i don’t remember if i liked book lovers more than happy place or vice versa. either way it will be fun for me so then i can truly decide which is my favorite lol

That’s so fair. I love them all but I think about beach read all the time something about it. I am also excited to re read happy place because it made me cry but the plot surrounding the friends was just so beautiful to me

i think i def need to reread happy place bc i saw some people not liking it so i think that made me scared to read it 😭 i don’t remember hating it but i don’t remember absolutely loving it either

I can 100% see why people didn’t like it. I think it worked for me but all the reasons I saw were very valid. I think my order is Beach read, book lovers, people we meet on vacation, then happy place. But we will see how the reread goes!

if the buddy read hasn't started yet I'd love to join, I absolutely love her books! but I did JUST read Happy Place so I will bow out of that read since I read it maybe two weeks ago. [Happy Place is actually my least favorite, meaning I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, and that's just because it wasn't sad enough for my tastes lol]

if anyone is still wondering I'm 99% sure there IS smut in all of her books, though.
