Helo, I'm Bella. I love history, I've been known to read actual history books for fun. :) I also get a lot of inspiration from history for the fantasy I write. My favorite historical fiction author is Ruta Sepetys.

Yes, I love when there are paintings or, once they're invented, photos, from the actual period.

My name is Elisabeth but I also go by Bets, I am a big foody (welcome to the gang Catherine 🤪😉), and I love Chai tea! I am a big lover of History but outside of a few time periods I really don't know a lot about it so I'm hoping to change that with y'all! Super excited to be on the group with you guys and can't wait to dig into the past with you all. I'm basically 16 and I'm the oldest of 9 kids so it can be hard for me to find reading time sometimes, but if I have time I plow through books like there is no tomorrow! 😂

YA fantasy.

I'm currently working on the first book in a YA romantasy trilogy. At least I think it's romantasy lol. Can't seem to figure out how to get them from enemies to lovers, though.

@Bella Nice! Ah yes that's tricky for me too. Have you heard of Abbie Emmons? She has some good videos on YT that have helped me in the past.

I actually have heard of her, although I haven't watched any of them yet, but I did recently watch a blog post she did about enemies-to-lovers, and I also listened to one of the writing playlists she made on YT. Maybe I should check her channel out again soon. Thanks for reminding me about her. :)

Welcome Emily. I also haven't read as much historical fiction lately, and love fantasy and mystery. Tbh, fantasy is prob my fav, followed by mystery of the YA thriller variety (I like everything better as YA, it seems), but I do really like historical fiction too. It's so hard to find his-fic that's not just romance, though.
