At first, I thought she was a little paranoid. The book didn't say if she had had any direct, personal confrontations in the past other than the online attacks. It was good that she was prepared and vigilant, but I did think she was a little over the top.
At first I thought she was a little paranoid, but I can see her point. You never know when someone was going to find out where she disappeared to and suddenly end up on her doorstep.
She was definitely paranoid but for good reason. They burned down her house! When they started threatening her children (who does that???), she didn’t have the choice of thinking it was meaningless. I certainly wouldn’t.
