In honor of Earth Day (which is celebrated in April or on the spring equinox in most countries), we are doing words found on a topographical Globe. So words like North, equator, hemisphiere, meridian or topographical formations like basin, passage, mountain, desert, etc. are all okay. Country names are not included.

Example: Northwest Angle by William Kent Krueger or And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini would work, but not American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

I'll also accept the words "Globe, Earth, World and the word Planet if it refers to the Earth like A Life on Our Planet: My Witness Statement and a Vision for the Future by David Attenborough (which is excellent, by the way).

I know this is a little different and I have not been able to find a Listopia for it yet. If you have questions, please ask, but I bet you get the idea.

How about the word "woods"? As in The Boy from the Woods by Harlan Coben?

I was thinking more of terms you would find on a globe. I think “woods” would be too small to make a globe. You could possibly find “Forest” on some globes.

Hi, everyone! Linda is traveling today, so she asked me to share a link to a pdf of a list of topographic forms. This will open/download a pdf to your device. If you're not comfortable with that, leave a comment and we'll check it. (Wanda, "forest" is grandfathered in since Linda already okay'd it. :) )

We hope this helps!

That was my thought as well. But decided to ask since I have three books with the word wood on my to read list. :)
