When Gwen tells Sam her old identity, he has a less than sympathetic reaction. At the time, did anything about it feel off or about as you expected?

What a jerk! He has known her for months, been in her home, Repaired her home! worked with her son and he can't accept her explanation of what happened. And the asshat knew all along.

This kind of threw me. I could see Sam being wary and wanting to think about it after Gwen told him about her past. But after we find out that he already knew, I didn't know what to think about his reaction to her confession.

He wore a mask from the moment he interacted with Gwen. When she told him her truth, his reaction was probably his true feelings. I was more disappointed here than when I learned who he really was. He’d gotten to know her, should have seen the devotion to her children. A good mother would have never let her children live with that garage.
