Finished this a few weeks ago! It was a nice short little read and pretty fun introduction I guess to Zen. I don't really have much to say about it, though. I don't think there's really any "life lesson" here beyond maybe enjoying the process rather than the end result without learning more about Zen.
After I started reading this one I realized I had read it many moons ago in my 20s. What a difference having a life in the meantime can do. I recall while reading Zen in my 20s telling myself how important and useful it is and that I should strive for whatever it was telling us to do. This time around I found the authors struggle with mastering Japanese archery similar to several other seemingly unrelated activities or circumstances in my life. Glad I gave it another chance.
